The 19th edition of the Taiwan Hardware Show (THS) will be held from 17 to 19 October 2019 at the Taichung International Exhibition Center. THS provides exclusive, emphasises the event organiser Kaigo, opportunities for foreign companies to meet Taiwanese manufacturers with unique competencies to manufacture complex hardware. International buyers will experience robust sourcing at THS and can later explore the manufacturing facilities of prospective partners directly in Taichung, the heart of Taiwan's hardware manufacturing hub. Taiwan's top hardware OEM, ODM and OBM as well as international brands and suppliers continue to showcase new high-competitive value products to global buyers at the country's biggest hardware exhibition.
Taiwan's manufacturing strength makes the country an important contributor to the global hardware markets. As the world's second largest exporting country for hand tools, Taiwan's hardware industry is productive in ensuring optimum manufacturing performance, flexible in meeting customers' diversified production specifications and also innovative in optimising sustainable use of material resources and more.
Taiwan is known as the "hand tools kingdom" and its direct export ratio accounts for about 70 per cent. According to the statistics of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan's hand tools are export-oriented.
"Taiwanese manufacturers are absolutely beneficial to the US market as other markets such as Europe are being explored due to stiff competition rising from the trade war risks," You Xiangzhen, Chairman of the Taiwan Hand Tools Association, says. "The output value of the hand tool industry in 2017 was TWD 118.3 bn, a growth of about 6.3 per cent and exports to the US market had accounted for about 30 per cent."
