From Lowe‘s

Peavey Industries acquires Ace Canada

13.03.2020

Peavey Industries has acquired the master licence of the Ace brand in Canada. Ace Canada has been part of Rona since 2014, following which Rona was taken over in 2016 by the Canadian subsidiary of the US chain Lowe's. The Ace Canada brand consists of a total of 107 stores under Ace Hardware, Ace Country & Garden or Ace Building Centre banners. These stores will all continue to operate under their existing banners, according to the new parent company.
The Peavey Industries cooperative supports the three retail brands Peavey Mart, TSC and Mainstreet Hardware with a total of 92 stores across five Canadian provinces. Its corporate offices in Red Deer, Alberta, and London, Ontario, house large-scale distribution centres. The company is 100 per cent Canadian and employee-owned. Peavey Industries retail outlets have been serving their loyal customers since 1967.
"This is an exciting new chapter for Ace International and the Canadian Ace Hardware retailers," says Jay Heubner, Ace International president and general manager. "We're confident Peavey Industries will provide the independent Ace retailers with the best service and support to help them succeed and ensure the continued growth of the Ace Hardware brand in Canada."
