Tractor Supply reports record growth rate of 27 per cent

US-American specialist retail chain Tractor Supply, which describes itself as the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States, reports record sales for its fiscal year 2020 (ending 26 December 2020). The company increased its net sales by 27.2 per cent to USD 10.62 bn (EUR 8.82 bn). Comparable store sales increased 23.1 per cent versus a 2.7 per cent increase in fiscal 2019. The last three quarters all show triple-digit growth rates in e-commerce.
During fiscal 2020, the company opened 80 new Tractor Supply stores and nine new Petsense stores and closed one Tractor Supply store and seven Petsense stores. At December 26, 2020, the company operated 1 923 Tractor Supply stores.
