Peter PJ Davis, until recently Managing Director of Bunnings in Great Britain and Ireland, is now definitively leaving Bunnings. Even at the end of December he had denied a report containing this content and announced merely a longer break. Now the Bunnings parent company has communicated that Davis is withdrawing after 25 years at Bunnings.
The new UK head of Bunnings is Damian McGloughlin who has been in the industry for 30 years and was previously Retail Director of UK & Ireland with the competition and British market leader B&Q. The new Chief Operating Officer will be David Haydon. Wesfarmers published the withdrawal of Peter Davis in connection with the announcement that the half-year report will contain large write-downs and losses by Bunnings UK and Ireland.
