Koelnmesse is currently recording "excellent application figures" for Spoga+Gafa 2020, according to the trade fair organisers (dated the start of March). In the annual comparison, the event has recorded a confirmed number of exhibitors at a level well comparable to the previous year. In spite of the worldwide prevailing situation, companies from 64 countries have already applied, which is an increase of eight percent more countries compared to the previous year. The largest garden trade fair in the world is taking place from 6 to 8 September 2020 and presents lifestyle trends in the green industry over 230 000 m².
If Spoga+Gafa has to be postponed or cancelled due to the coronavirus, Koelnmesse will refund the already purchased visitor tickets. Exhibitors who do not wish to take part on the new date will be reimbursed payments already made to Koelnmesse. The partners of the trade fair will be informed about possible tendencies in due time during the second half of the year.
As previously announced, the key theme of this year's Spoga+Gafa is "Sustainable Gardens". The key theme will be present across all segments, whereby the trade fair wants to present sustainable products and value creating ideas for the needs of the green industry in the run-up to and during the event together with the exhibitors. Special lectures and product shows, innovative approaches and theme-specific tours of the grounds and surrounding area are the focus of the planning.
There are international applications across all four segments, i.e. garden living, garden bbq, garden creation & care and garden unique. Among others, the following brand manufacturers made use of the initial application phase: Biohort, Edelman, Elho, Emsa, Fiskars, Gardena, Glatz, Gloria, Hartman, Kaemingh, Kettler Home & Garden, Koopman, Napoleon, Nardi, Rösle, Scheurich, Sieger, Severin, Esschert Design, Weber-Stephen and Westland.
