The world's leading trade fair for horticulture, IPM Essen, has an additional international offshoot in Mexico. The Ornamental Plants & Flowers México powered by IPM Essen (OP&F) opens in Mexico City from 18 to 20 September 2019. The event organisers of the new trade fair in Centro Citibanamex are AM Expo & CEPOMAC together with Messe Essen as cooperative partner. The trade fair, which is to take place annually, is supported by the Mexican Ministry of Agriculture. The offer will include plants and flowers, technology, floristry as well as horticulture and landscaping. On the visitor side, the new event will be intended, above all, for plant breeders, landscape architects as well as gardeners and florists.
The Ornamental Plants & Flowers México powered by IPM Essen will be "the new strategic meeting place for horticulture in North and Central America," believes Oliver P. Kuhrt, CEO of Messe Essen. "Thus, we will offer European exhibitors the path into a highly interesting market". There are already international offshoots of the IPM Essen in China, Russia and the United Arab Emirates.
