The Danish home improvement and building materials chain Davidsens Tømmerhandel has taken over the Optimera construction materials distribution business in Denmark from the French group Saint-Gobain. Thus, Davidsens Tømmerhandel, who previously had 13 locations, has risen to number three in the Danish construction materials trade.
Optimera Denmark has 17 outlets as well as construction materials warehouses and six logisticcenters. One location is in Greenland. The company is also active in the online trade.
In 2018, Optimera Denmark had sales of around EUR 120 mio. Saint-Gobain retains a presence in Denmark's distribution market through its Brødrene Dahl brand with 53 locations. Optimera Sweden continues to belong to the French group.
