Sodimac opens first store in Mexico

Sodimac has opened its first store in Mexico. The Home Improvement division of the Chilean retail group Falabella has run the location in the capital of Mexico City since 31 July 2018 under the formats Homecenter and Constructor. The retail space is 10 700 m². For orders via the Internet, a Click & Collect section is available.
Cooperation partner for Mexico is the local trade group Soriana. The expansion was already officially announced in 2016. In the first five years, 20 stores are to be opened throughout the whole of Mexico. Sodimac now operates 254 stores in Latin America.
