Retail in France calls for people to get vaccinated

The French DIY retail association FMB is appealing to the people of France to get vaccinated. The association is supporting and distributing an appeal by the two umbrella associations Conseil du Commerce de France (CdCF) and Confédération de France (CDF) with their trade associations. The French should not risk any further rise in infections which would cause a renewed closure of businesses, it states. "Retailers, who have already had many months of closure since the start of the epidemic behind them, are still facing the risk of being affected in the case of a new wave of closures," the associations say. Shortly before the start of the holidays and in the light of the rise of variants, the French are calling for solidarity and responsibility.
