The Thai home improvement chain Home Pro is no longer achieving the high growth in sales seen in previous years. In the third quarter, the company's sales income rose by 2.01 per cent compared with the same period in the previous year to THB 15.401 bn (EUR 407 mio). Due to the rainy season and resulting decline in customer footfall, the third quarter is generally somewhat weaker. Although the export and tourism sector is expanding, household income remains down on account of continuing low prices for agricultural products. An additional factor is that Home Pro did not open any new stores during this quarter.
Cumulative sales for the first three quarters came to THB 45.720 bn (EUR 1.209 bn), an increase of 3.51 per cent over the previous year.
