The Danish Stark Group has taken over Saint Gobain Building Distribution Deutschland (SGBDD) from its French parent company Compagnie de Saint Gobain. SGBDD has around 220 locations under several brands in Germany. Net sales are reported to be EUR 2 bn, the acquisition price EUR 335 mio.  Agreement from the cartel authorities is expected in the second half of the year.
The Stark Group, which is active in the building materials and DIY trade with a total of 186 locations in Denmark (including Greenland), Sweden, Norway and Finland, most recently made annual sales of 2.2 bn.
