In South Africa, a three-week complete lockdown has applied since Friday 27 March 2020. DIY stores are closed, only supermarkets and pharmacies remain open, and supermarkets are also only allowed to sell vital products, so for example no alcohol, no cigarettes and thus also no DIY or garden products. Nor are people allowed to leave their homes, for instance to go jogging.
