The majority of participants of the 7th Global DIY Summit in Dublin last week gave the event very good ratings. In the survey, which was carried out through the app, 72 per cent rated the congress as "very good" or "excellent", a further 23 per cent gave the grade "good". More than 30 per cent of the nearly 1 000 participants from 55 countries came from trade, 60 per cent were manufacturers. The share of companies who are not directly related to the DIY store industry, for example consultant firms, trade fair organisations, universities, rose to around 10 per cent. The distribution of gender continues to be very unequal: 82 per cent of the congress participants were men.
In terms of their business prospects in relation to their own company, participants were largely optimistic. One fifth (21 per cent) expect a growth of more than 10 per cent, 37 per cent foresee an increase of up to 4 per cent.
