Positive figures were also delivered this time by the British primary sales channel B&Q with a growth of 3.9 per cent (like-for-like 3.6 per cent). Screwfix grew by 11.8 per cent (5.5 per cent).
The balance in France is mixed. Here the primary sales channel Castorama made 3.1 per cent less than in the same period last year, this was 3.8 per cent less on a like-for-like basis with constant currency. In contrast, Brico Dépôt grew by 4.8 per cent (2.6 per cent).
In Poland, the Castorama and Brico Dépôt stores increased by 1.8 per cent (like-for-like with constant currency 1.3 per cent). Results in the other countries: Brico Dépôt Spain and Portugal 0.8 per cent (-0.3 per cent); Castorama Russia -10.9 per cent (2.1 per cent); Brico Dépôt and Praktiker Romania 79.5 per cent (4.6 per cent); Screwfix Germany 21.6 per cent (20.4 per cent).
