The brick-and-mortar building supply home improvement channel in the USA, which includes home centres, building and paint specialists, and hardware stores, will grow by 4.4 per cent in sales in the year 2018. This is the forecast made by the management consultant company Kantar. Kantar's Principal Economist Doug Hermanson comments on this development by saying that the home improvement channel is the only branch in the brick-and-mortar retail channel which outpaces the all-retail average for the seventh straight year in 2018. The entire retail sector, according to this forecast, will increase by 4.1 per cent in the coming year.
