For the first time in Great Britain, Bunnings has opened a store which hasn't been converted from one of the Homebase stores taken over in February 2016. It is at the former location of the British market leader B&Q in Folkestone, Kent, which closed in January and was purchased in May by the Bunnings parent company Wesfarmers. The retail space is almost 7 000 m². Bunnings now operates five own brand DIY stores in Great Britain in addition to the Homebase stores.
