The new European corporate network, Edin, which is aimed at trading groups and suppliers in the building materials and DIY industry, has now been launched at a kick-off meeting. Edin was founded this year by Lucien Hardt, the former manager of pan-European Euromat, together with Simo Manner who, for example, worked for over ten years as executive vice president for Rautakesko, the Finnish DIY store operator, and his son Philippe Hardt. One of those using the new network is the building materials trade cooperation Eurobaustoff.
Edin is an open platform, supporting its members from trade and industry when entering the market, individually for each country. Additional consultancy services and market data are currently available for ten countries. The Edin think tank will also be focussing on innovative solutions for current market requirements. In addition, the development of digital tools and applications is planned.
