Real growth in Migros speciality store segment

In its speciality store segment, which includes the Do it + Garden DIY chain and Obi stores in Switzerland, the Swiss retail outfit Migros posted sales of CHF 1.622 bn last year. The figure was 3.0 per cent down on the previous year, although adjusted to take account of deflation of 6.0 per cent, the speciality stores actually grew by 3.0 per cent, according to the company. Sales by the online shops of these stores increased by 15.2 per cent.
