Mr. Bricolage loses revenue and gets a new managing director

The DIY stores belonging to the French Mr. Bricolage Group turned over € 2.1462 bn last year and therefore 1.4 per cent less than in 2014. On the same area, the turnover was up by 1.0 per cent. From the 838 locations at the year-end, 350 stores were from the main sales division Mr. Bricolage and 123 from the Les Briconautes division; 293 affiliated stores operated under other brands.
The sales revenue from these 766 locations in France decreased by 2.6 per cent to € 1.9036 bn compared to last year; on a like-for-like basis, it went up by 0.5 per cent. The 72 stores abroad increased their revenues by 9.0 per cent (like-for-like 4.3 per cent) to € 242.6 mio. Sales over the Internet were € 13.6 mio.
2016 also saw the appointment of a new group head. Christophe Mistou (48) is now Directeur Général. He had previously worked for the competitor Castorama from 1992. From 2008 to 2012 he was commercial director and following that he worked at the British parent company Kingfisher, responsible for sourcing and development of own brands.
