Hardware and DIY continue to grow in Spain

The Spanish hardware and DIY trade grew by seven per cent in the third quarter, compared to the same period last year. DIY stores performed better than traditional specialist trade, as indicated by figures that were published by the Spanish DIY and hardware manufacturers' association AFEB and its partner AECOC. According to which, the DIY store sales channel recorded an increase of eight percent, as in the second quarter. In comparison, specialist trade increased by six per cent, clearly exceeding its growth rate of two per cent in the second quarter. The associations expect the overall positive trend to continue into the fourth quarter.
