The 387 stores of the Hagebaumarkt distribution channel in Germany and Austria increased their sales by 2.9 per cent in 2017, with net sales amounting to 2.21 bn euros.

"Very pleasing" was the term applied by the central office of the Hagebau cooperative to the development of the Werkers Welt small retail concept. The 112 outlets grew their sales by 5.6 per cent compared with the same period in the previous year to 176.8 mio euros.

Sales of the cooperative's central office and its subsidiaries - this doesn't mean the sales of the builders' merchants and DIY store operators combined in Hagebau - likewise increased substantially in 2017, rising by 4.0 per cent to 6.51 bn euros. Of this figure, centrally invoiced sales of the speciality retailer accounted for 4.12 bn euros, equivalent to a 5.5 per cent increase over the previous year.
