Giroldi’s theories and a big regional report Spain in the new journal

Issue 2/2018 of the trade journal DIY International has just come out.

Issue 2/2018 of the trade journal DIY International has just come out.

"Brands - and I'm talking of supplier brands - will play an increasingly important role in the future." "In ten years at the latest, we will have only three to four market participants - and that in Europe as a whole." "Competition, also with the major Internet players, leads to a radical democratisation of the trade as a whole." With these statements the current edition of the trade journal DIY International quotes the Obi boss and President of Edra, Sergio Giroldi. They will probably create a lot of discussion at the forthcoming 6th Global DIY Summit in Barcelona, according to the trade journal.

In actual fact, the major event in the industry is already massively represented in issue 2/2018 of DIY International which has just come out. In an interview for example, Christian Raisson, co-founder of the French online marketplace ManoMano, which is specialised in home improvement, gives us a taste of what he means with "new frontiers in the DIY industry", which he will talk about in his farewell speech at the end of the congress. In addition, a regional report covering more than ten pages has been dedicated to the DIY and garden industry in Spain, the country in which the congress is taking place. This is where, for example, the country's two retail and manufacturers' associations have their say. The statistics department at the Dähne Verlag publishing house has contributed a market analysis with extensive figures, also on the Spanish regions.
