The French chain Brico Dépôt is rolling out its professional concept "Spécial Pros" nationwide from April. The concept has been tested at eight pilot stores since April 2023 and later at 24 pilot stores. According to a press release, this test run has shown satisfactory results; in particular, the number of professional customers and the frequency of this customer group has increased.

From April, "Spécial Pros" areas will be set up at Brico Dépôt's current 123 locations in France. The concept provides a whole range of benefits for professional customers. For example, there is a dedicated discount system with a personalised customer loyalty programme and payment conditions. Invoices, prices and product availability can be viewed digitally via the customers' accounts on the internet or via the app. Professional customers also have a dedicated sales advisor at their disposal.

The chain, which is part of the British Kingfisher Group and sees itself as a discounter, has already catered to the special needs of professional customers: open seven days a week from 7 a.m., return of goods within three months, construction site quantities, collection within two hours and delivery via crane.
