Clas Ohlson achieved sales of SEK 1.763 bn in the first quarter (May to July) of the 2016/2017 financial year. That is merely SEK 300 000 (0.0 per cent increase) more than the same period in the previous year. In local currencies that is two per cent more. In particular the weaker NOK is causing the Swedish sales chain trouble.
The company announced two important openings abroad in its quarterly report: this week a second location will be opened in Hamburg (Germany). And in autumn the second franchise store in Dubai is to be launched in the Mercato Shopping Mall.
