No good figures in second quarter

Kingfisher has reported a decline in sales of 1.9 per cent to GBP 3.148 bn (all figures, including the following, on a like-for-like basis) for the second quarter of its fiscal year (1.5.-31.7.2017). In Great Britain and Ireland, sales fell by 1.0 per cent, with B&Q recording a downturn of 4.7 per cent and Screwfix reporting an increase of 10.8 per cent. In France (Castorama, Brico Dépôt) sales losses totalled 3.8 per cent, while sales in Poland increased by 4.0 per cent. In the "New Country Development" unit, comprising the Brico Dépôts in Romania and Portugal plus Screwfix Germany, Kingfisher reported sales in the second quarter of GBP 45 mio in total.
