Bosch Power Tools increased sales in its gardening tools division last year by eleven per cent to € 325 mio; this was 14 per cent more in local currency. "2016 was the most successful year in the garden to date for Bosch," says Henning von Boxberg, President of Bosch Power Tools. From 2006 to 2016 Bosch increased its sales in garden equipment every year by an average of eleven percent; whereas according to the company, the market only grew by four percent each year in this period.
In Germany, Bosch's sales in gardening in its core business - electrical garden equipment excluding leaf blowers, scarifiers and high-pressure cleaners - grew by eleven per cent last year. On average over the last ten years this was 16 per cent and therefore twice as much as the German market, which rose by eight per cent each year in this segment.
