Arabesque, the main distributor of building materials and finishing in Romania, today, 9 March 2017, opens the first store under the new brand Mathaus dedicated to end consumers in Iasi city. The investment is worth about € 10 mio.
The new Mathaus store offers over 25 000 SKUs, from building materials and finishes, installations, electrical, ceramic tiles, flooring, tools and quality tools in almost unlimited stock and at competitive prices.
The products and all support services are presented in a new store format, adapted to customer requirements on an indoor sales area of 9 000 m² and 14 000 m² outdoor sales area.
"Mathaus, the retail brand of Arabesque, offers over 20 years of experience in the company to all those who have to renovate, repair or build, including office buildings and production facilities," Radu Munteanu, the regional director of Arabesque, said to bricoretail.ro.
Mathaus store is open seven days a week. Customers benefit from free transport of goods both in Iasi and in surrounding localities.
Founded in 1994 in Galati city by businessman Cezar Rapotan, Arabesque is one of the few Romanian companies that has expanded its business across borders, developing shopping centres in the Ukraine, Bulgaria and Moldova.
With a network of 18 stores in the entire country and the new Mathaus store, the company Arabesque claims to be the most important player in the DIY B2B market in Romania. The Arabesque range includes more than 30 000 items from construction, finishes and furnishings categories.
