The group "Les Mousquetaires" with its sales channels Bricomarché and Brico Cash, the 4th biggest player in the DIY market in France, is to take over Bricorama. The company announced last Wednesday, 5th of July, the beginning of talks between the two companies.Affected are 164 sites (of which 57 are franchised) in France and Spain as well as Bricorama's sourcing office in Asia. This transaction will make Bricomarché/Bricorama the number three in France behind Kingfisher (Castorama and Brico Dépôt) and Groupe Adeo (Leroy Merlin and Bricoman). The share of sales of the first two players in the French DIY market is about 72 percent, whereas the share of the companies that are going to merge is about 14 percent (10 and 4 percent).
