Kesko is growing with the building and home improvement trade

Net sales for the building and home improvement trade of the Finish Kesko Group for January to June totalled € 1.144 bn. That is an increase of 4.7 per cent. The company reports that net sales grew by 2.4 per cent in local currencies. There was a decline in local currencies in Norway (-1.3 per cent), in Sweden (-4.1 per cent) and in Russia (-7.1 per cent). While the number of Byggmaker stores belonging to Kesko in Norway has sunk since mid 2016 from 86 to 82, and the number of Swedish K-rauta stores sank by two to 18, the branch network in Russia grew by one location to 14.
The overall growth of the group is primarily attributed to the B2B sector. K Group's sales in the building and home improvement products trade in Finland increased by 3.2 per cent.
