Byggmax sales up by six per cent

In the first quarter of 2017, the Swedish DIY chain Byggmax increased its sales by 6.1 per cent compared with the same period in the previous year to SEK 782.6 mio. Sales in comparable stores remained virtually unchanged, growing by 0.2 per cent.
Apart from the Byggmax outlets, the group also operates the distribution channel Skånska Byggvaror, which it acquired a year ago. This accounts for SEK 104.9 of the sales total, an increase of 3.2 per cent. Sales in the Byggmax stores rose by 6.5 per cent to SEK 655.3 mio.
