The French DIY chain Bricorama ended the 2016 financial year with overall sales of EUR 717.0 mio, equivalent to a decline of 1.1 per cent. In its main market in France, the company's sales were down 2.7 per cent compared with the previous year to EUR 475.2 mio. A downturn of 1.4 per cent was recorded in the Benelux region to a volume of EUR 213.3 mio. In Spain, Bricorama sales were up 40.3 per cent to EUR 28.5 mio following the acquisition of four stores at the start of the year. In spite of the downturn, the company expects operating earnings to be in line with the previous year.
